Talk about a real Joke; this joint just doesn't get it. Serving a high-priced crap pizza and then doing nothing to make it good after the customer has made a clear, fair and justifiable complaint. I was served a so-called "All Aboard" pizza that turned out to be nothing more than a "Cheese Only" Papa John's wanna-be. I had the All Aboard two times before, and it was nearly a 1/2" thick; I was very pleased. The third time (with a very good friend of mine in tow), I got screwed: less than a 1/4" thick, and very little meat. $25.00 for a piece of crap. I spent several weeks telling my friend about the "killer pizza", only to be "shamed" when he saw it. He's already said that he will not return to J-Train again. I was told that (that pizza) "was probably done by the cook we just let go"; and assured (by the manager), that they would make it right. Bull ! It's been 3 weeks, and they haven't lifted a finger or made even the slightest gesture to do so. I've been a regular customer in this place for quite some time, and this is a great example of the antiquated aphorism: "familiarity breeds contempt". I guess, since they know my face, they don't feel that they have to make it right? The sad thing is, it used to be a great little bar - until they hired some bird named "Dave"; who fancies himself as a "real pro" in the business. A real pro', who didn't have enough business sense to put a sign out front about the Super Bowl - and then stood in a virtually empty bar wondering why ..... there were only 3 customers.
I was perfectly willing to let this pizza thing go if only they were to make some kind of effort to rectify it. The worst of it all, is that they haven't even uttered the words: "We're Sorry". They need to get the "net"; this economy is crash and burn, and nobody can afford ... a $25.00 screwin'. Have fun spending my money Joel (the owner); and be sure to thank your friend and manager Dave, for this insertion - had he dealt with it, it wouldn't have happened. A footnote: this complaint, has nothing to do with the Waitresses or Bartenders; they're just fine / If it weren't for them, J-Train wouldn't have any customers; and I'd have never made it a regular stop. Do yourself a favor, and go to Domino's - at least their pizzas are the same every time. J-Train will not see another dime of my money, and I hope they go "belly up"; the way they're going at it, they very well might - and when and if it happens, I'll be out front LMDAO.

For several years, I've gone into this establishment, and had a wonderful experience; I am sad to say, that my recent ... was not the case.
![]() After a business engagement in the New Albany area, I decided to stop in and get something to eat at Tommy's. The female bartender was unknown to me, & the place was virtually empty with the exception of 4 adult men sitting on the end of the bar (fraternizing with the bartender). I was the only other patron. After waiting for her to find the time to break away from her conversation, I ordered a burger, asking that the tomatoes and onion be left off. She took the order, and immediately went back to her elongated conversation at the other end of the bar. I noticed that she was intensely involved in "texting" on her cell phone - in tandem with her discussion/s with the 4 men.

Eventually, the "cold" hamburger arrived, and at first glance, I could see that the tomato, onion etc. had not been left off as requested. I asked that she remove it for me, and she cited: "they did it wrong". I also noticed that the lettuce on the burger, was a "wilted" outer leaf (the part you're supposed to throw away), but said nothing about it. After a moment or two, she returned with the sandwich. (no problem thus far). Again, she made a b-line for the other end of the bar to the 4 males - and resumed her conversation & texting (multitasker, I guess). When I was through eating, I requested my bill and she complied. After looking at the bill, I noticed the price was different than what as displayed in the menu; and asked about it. Here's where it went really bad.
She stomped down to the cash register and grabbed .50 out of what I imagine was her tip jar, came back, and slammed it down onto the bar in front of me. She then took my $20, and went to the register and made the appropriate change for the bill. When she came back, she basically "threw" the change out in front of me. Being totally amazed with what happened thus far, I picked up the change and started to leave. However, before I could even exit, I noticed she was with the 4 males again, shaking her head and pointing to me. Each of these guys, randomly turning their head toward me and scorning. I sat there for another 2 to 3 minutes wondering why on earth she had taken this type of instigative action. Finally, I asked her: "why , are you down there telling "them" all about this?" One of the men blurted out ... "why don't you just leave man". Another turned and dagger-eyed me; to which I stated: "what the heck is your problem?". I stood up and started to head out the door; all the while these fellows saying "get out", "take off", "what an asshole" etc. Needless to say, I was ready to do just that. I vowed to talk with Tommy later on the issue.
Could it get any worse? Absolutely; And it did! I get out side, and get into my vehicle, where I could no nothing but just shake my head in disbelief. Next to my car, were two young children sitting on the bumper of the adjacent one (visiting, laughing etc.). From out of the side door of Tommy's, comes running (full throttle) an older female with glasses, toward the children; grabbing their hands (and like someone running from a "campus shooter"), whisks them away - back into the side door. (All of this over a .50 discrepancy in a bill?) Good lord, was I sorry I even mentioned it. This young lady behind the bar, single-handedly, has done Tommy Lancaster (and his business) a great dis-service; she represented him poorly, & created an unnecessary atmosphere of hostility and fear. Her texting and intense fraternizing at the end of the bar, netted a cold burger for me, a loss of a tip for her, the scaring of innocent children (who were never in any danger whatsoever), and a loss of my business anywhere in the future. It is truly sad, that a simple & courteous mention of an inaccurate bill, can result in this type of fiasco'. It was totally uncalled for, and the girl behind the bar should be terminated immediately. And to you Tommy: I am so sorry to see this happen; it pretty much has undone all the good feelings I had about coming to your restaurant. You deserve better employees than that - the rest of them have always been very nice to me; my reason for going there on this occasion.

KFC has figured out how to make some extra money. It's presto-chango stuff. The last time I went there (the 10th street store) to get a 10 Pc Bucket, I came up short a Breast. Nothing serious I felt at the moment, and just vowed to bring it to their attention the next time I was in (had been there before). When I returned (for another bucket), I brought it up; and they made good by giving me an extra breast. So why the complaint you ask? The following week, they did it again. I wasn't bright enough to check before I left; I would have never thought that they could make the same mistake twice. I was wrong for sure. When I got home, I called, reminding them of the first time they did it, and asking them why (as pro's in the chicken biz') they were making this kind of mistake. No good answer was offered, except "come on back and we'll make it right. I told them to forget it, since the Gas alone would have cost me twice the cost of the Beast. Further more, they had a snotty attitude about the issue anyway. I decided to never go there again. Well, liking fried chicken like I do, the next time I went to the Clarksville KFC store. Would you believe the same damn thing happened again? I discovered it after I got home. I was totally peeved, and jumped back in the car and drove back over there. I wasn't a happy camper when I walked in, and quickly ran down the 10th st. story to them. They took the bucket, and said they'd fix it right; ("just be a minute sir"). They handed it back to me, and out the door I stormed (still running about 255 degrees internally). I got in the car, and started to drive off, but instead locked up the brakes and ripped off the top of the bucket to see if they got it right. DAMN, out of the car and back into the store; "give me your friggin manager" I said. Out he comes, and a chat we had. His apologies were streaming from his yap, and he said he'd get it straightened out. Well, he did, but as far as I'm concerned there's something fishy going on in the backdrop with KFC; since the Breasts sell for a considerably higher amount than the Back pc they replaced on me twice. You decide for yourself, but if it were me, I'd check your bucket - before you leave the store. I personally will never go into another KFC again; I think a lot of this has to do with the thief outfit YUM Corp. who now owns it (opinion). It all wouldn't have been so bad, but with the diminishing dollar and the high cost of gas; it really burned my ass.
